PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an anti-obesity medicine and a lipid metabolism-improving medicine useful for treating and preventing obesity and abnormal lipid metabolism by including compounds comprising 24-alkylcholestan-3-one, 24- alkylcholesten-3-one, and so on as active ingredients. SOLUTION: These medicines are obtained by including compound(s) selected from 24-alkylcholestane-3-one and/or 24-alkylcholesten-3-one shown by the formula [R<1> is a lower alkyl; R<2> is H, a halogen, OH, or oxo; it may have 1-4 double bond(s) at position(s) 1,4,5,6,7,8,8(14),9(11),11,14,15,16,22,23,24,25, and/or 25(27)] as active ingredients, followed by mixing with an additive for pharmaceutical preparation and so on. |
