摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve display quality by suppressing voltage drop in the electrode. SOLUTION: Plural signal electrodes 3... and plural scanning electrodes 5... are provided on each of two opposed glass substrates, and picture elements 21 are formed at the intersectional parts of the signal electrodes 3... and the scanning electrodes 5..., and a liquid crystal layer formed between the glass substrates. Resistance R per one signal electrode 3 and one scanning line 5, an electric capacity C between one signal electrode 3 and the glass substrate opposed thereto, and a pulse widthτof a driving signal provided to the signal electrode 3 and the scanning electrode 5 are set so as to satisfy the relation 0.001<=RC/τ<=0.5. Since such a relation is obtained based on Scaling Law, a voltage drop is suppressed sufficiently even in a liquid crystal element different in size and pulse width if RC/τis set within the above range.
