SOLUTION: In the vicinity of an electrifying roller 102, an electrifying-roller cleaning member 120 is provided so as to be brought into contact with and separated from it. In the situations that developing cartridges 104a-104d are used, that is, in the initial situations of their use, the cleaning member 120 is abutted on the electrifying roller 102 to clean it and, at all other times, the cleaning member 120 is made in a non-abutted state. |
