PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly develop an air bag in the vertical direction by folding both of the top/bottom both side parts and left/right both side parts of the bag structure in which a flow straightening body constituted of a flexible material such as a cloth having blowout openings for gas flow in the top and the bottom is arranged, and setting the folding of the former in such a state as being more easily developed compared with the folding of the latter. SOLUTION: The top and the bottom side parts of a bag 10, in which a flow straightening body constituted of a flexible material such as a cloth having gas flow blowout openings in its top and bottom is arranged, are folded at a series of parts 60a-60e positioned from the central part of the bag 10 to the top/bottom circumferential edges so as to be formed into a plurality of folding pieces 62a-62e piled on an occupant panel in order. The left/right both side parts 65 of the folded bodies 64 provided in this way are wound with the tip end 80 set to the inside and folded in order to be formed into a wound ball 82, and the wound ball 82 is reversed to an occupant side panel in its base so that the top/bottom both side parts of the bag 10 are set to be more easily developed compared with the left/right both side parts.
