PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the operating convenience by setting a channel on a sub-menu of a remote commander not depending on processing a main image outputted on the television receiver that incorporates two reception channel selection circuits. SOLUTION: A television signal from a 2nd reception channel selection circuit 8 is led to a television signal modulation circuit 9, where the signal is modulated and the modulated signal is sent from a remote commander television signal transmission section 10 to a remote commander 12. The signal is received by a remote commander television signal transmission section 13 in the remote commander 12 and a reception demodulation circuit 14 demodulates the signal. A remote commander image processing circuit 15 applies processing such as color demodulation to the television signal, separates a synchronizing signal from the received television signal and generates deflection pulse to allow a remote commander side video output section 16 to output a video image. A remote commander audio processing circuit 17 demodulates an audio signal modulated by an audio subscarrier led from the reception demodulation circuit 14 and a remote commander audio output section 18 to output a television audio signal.
