PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a foreign matter such as a coin from being carried to a magnetic head even when the foreign matter is charged into a charging port. SOLUTION: In this automatic ticket checking machine (a) by which train ticket is taken in at a taking-in carriage path L having a carrying direction making a prescribed angle with the charging direction of the charging port 1 and an arithmetic processing is operated based on data recorded in the taken-in train ticket to perform an entrance/exit processing, a freely rotatable roller is provided between the charging port 1 and the taking-in carriage path L, thus when the train ticket is charged into the charging port, the charged train ticket can be bent and moved along the prescribed angle, and when a harder substance than the train ticket is charged, the roller is moved and applied with break to stop the movement of the substance (foreign matter). |
