<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automobile painted with a coating material in which the constituent pigment can resist sufficiently to a change in the color at a specified angle of vision even under the influence of high temperature. SOLUTION: A coating material with which an automobile is painted contains a pigment the color of which changes with an angle of vision. This pigment is obtained by the three-dimensionally crosslinking an alignable substance of a liquid crystal structure having a chiral phase. The crosslinking is performed in the presence of at least another organic compound containing at least two crosslinkable double bonds and being neutral in relation to a color, and not affecting the color effect of the alignable substance of a liquid crystal structure during the crosslinking, and the compound neutral in relation to the color is contained in an amount of at least 5 wt.% based on the total weight of the entire mixture to be crosslinked.</p> |
