PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device capable of always stably obtaining a high-quality image by reading an original image so that a printing part may be detected, calculating the time when the printing part passes through a developing area based on the signal of the detected printing part, controlling the rotating time of a developer carrier and a stirring means so that needless stirring and coating operation may be eliminated and preventing the deterioration of developer due to the excessive electrification of toner or breakage. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a printing part detection means 22 detecting the printing part and the non-printing part in an image to be developed, and a driving control means turning on/off the driving of the developer carrier 41 and the stirring means 43 and 45 based on the signal from the detection means 22. When the printing part exists in the image in an image developing stage by a developing means 4, the driving of the developer carrier 41 and the stirring means 43 and 45 is turned on, and when the printing part does not exist, the driving of them is turned off. |
