PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hinge device, for a printer cover, which is hardly damageable, when operating to open/close the printer cover, especially when opening the cover. SOLUTION: A projecting part 2 for a hinge on a printer cover 1 is introduced and set in place in a hole 8 for the hinge formed in a printer body case, and the freely movable side is rotated to be opened or closed on the projecting part 2 for the hinge side as a fulcrum. At the same time, the cover 1 opening direction side of an outer face near the hole 8 for the hinge in the body case, is inclined into a direction where the cover 1 opening direction side becomes remote from the outer face of a cover 1 base end in the open state. In the printer as described above, a support part 14 which comes into contact with the outer face of the body case in such a state that the cover 1 is opened and holds the cover 1 by supporting a load force working into the cover 1 opening direction, is provided on the outer face of the cover 1 base end. In addition, the support part 14 serves to eliminate the necessity to support the load force into a direction in which the printer cover 1 is opened when opened to be set upright, by the length of the projecting part 2 for the hinge. Thus the concentration of a load on the projecting part 2 is no longer seen. |
