PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily reproduce recorded contents of a specified opposite party in a telephone system with a recording function. SOLUTION: At the time of recording by an automatic answering telephone function and a call recording function, sound data is stored in a memory together with the telephone number of an opposite communication party. Various sound data are linked with telephone book data, call history data and incoming history data. If a reproduction key is depressed (SC2) when an arbitrary opposite party is displayed at a telephone book data display mode (SC1), an automatic answering content of the opposite party is reproduced (SC4) if automatic recording linked with the telephone number of the opposite party during display exists (YES in SC3). When call recording linked with the telephone number of the opposite party during display exists (YES in SC5), the call recording content of the opposite party is reproduced (SC6). When linked automatic answering recording and call recording do not exist (NO in SC5), all the recording contents are reproduced in order from the newest one.
