PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrostatic recording body having a tip cover, no dirt and a high recording concentration. SOLUTION: In this electrostatic recording body which is composed by fixing a conductive layer and a dielectric layer in order on one side of a sheet-like support, needle-shaped conductive titanium oxide is included in the conductive layer and a corona-charged potential of the surface of the dielectric layer is -900 to -200 V at the time of applying -5 kV under the circumstances of 25 deg.C and 65%RH. Preferably, the sheet-like support is such a sheet-like support that, when 4μl of a colored toluene liquid is dropped from the height of 1 cm on the sheet-like support which is stuck on a flat plane inclined by 45 degrees, the length of down-flow until the colored toluene liquid is dried is 60 mm or more under the circumstances of 25±2 deg.C and 45±5%RH.
