PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a contact material having a current cutting characteristic and a voltage-resistant characteristic at the same time. SOLUTION: This material contains an arc-resistant component consisting of at least one of TiC, V and VC having an average of 0.1-9μm and content of 30-70 vol.%, C which has content of 0.005-0.5 wt.% to the arc-resistant component and a grain diameter of 0.01-5μm assuming the shapes of the grains to be a sphere also which is in a non solid solution state or a compound non- forming state, and a conductive component consisting of Cu for the remaining part. |
