PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the optical waveguide which can be made small-sized and has superior productivity. SOLUTION: The optical waveguide 11 is equipped with a core part 2 and a clad part 3 provided surrounding the core part 2; and a hole 13 whose internal surface slants to the core part 2 is formed crossing part or the whole of the core part 2 and a material 14 which has a higher refractive index than the core part 2 is tilled in the hole 13.
