<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner for electrophotography having oilless fixing suitability same to monochrome toner fixing, allowing fixing without using a mold- releasing agent or with a very small applying amount of it, exhibiting high image quality and high coloration, and excellent in reliability, and provide an image forming method using the toner. SOLUTION: This toner contains a binding resin and a coloring agent, and a resin used for the binding resin is such a resin that the minimum value of tanδin the binding resin exists in a range from a glass transition temperature(Tg) to a temperature where an elastic modulus loss (G") reaches G"-1×10<4> Pa, that the minimum value of the tanδis less than 1.2, that a storage elastic modulus (G') at a temperature in the tanδminimum is G'=5×10<5> Pa or more, and that a value of the tanδat the temperature with the elastic modulus loss reached to G"=1×10<4> Pa is 3.0 or more. A small amount of a vinyl resin may be added acceptably to a polyester resin having these characteristics for use. Image formation is conducted using a transferred medium where the same resin is used also in an image receiving layer.</p> |
