PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the operation convenience of a radio communication equipment by reducing a time till an IC card reaches a communication available state of electric connection. SOLUTION: A control circuit 9 that is set to a subscriber identify module SIM card mode in a sate that no option information is required for setting allows a storage section 13 to expands essential information among sets of specific information stored in a SIM card 8 (IC card) and to omit expansion of the option information and reaches a communication available state. Then the information quantity transferred from the SIM card 8 is reduced till the control circuit 9 reaches the communication available state, resulting in reducing the time till the control circuit 9 reaches the communication available state.
