PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser beam welding equipment capable of efficiently welding the whole outer peripheral edge of a honeycomb cylindrical body to the inner peripheral surface of a housing even though distortion exists in a cylindrical housing into which a column-like honeycomb cylindrical body is force-fitted. SOLUTION: A pressing roller 32 which is pivotaly supported by a movable plate 28 is abutted on the outer periphery of the housing 5 rotating around the axial line by an energizing force of an energizing means 30 connected to the movable plate 28, a laser beam welding torch 34, which focuses an irradiating laser beam at a contacting part P between the outer peripheral edge of the honeycomb cylindrical body 4 and the inner peripheral surface of the housing 5 in the side nearest to the pressing roller 32, is attached to the movable plate 28, and the contacting part P is irradiated by the laser beam from the laser beam welding torch 34 while rotating the housing 5. |
