PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve coercive force, temperature characteristic of coercive force and a rectangular ratio further by further enhancing magnet characteristics of a ferrite magnet having high residual magnetic flux density, and high coercive force which has not been attained in a conventional M-type ferrite magnet. SOLUTION: The manufacture of hexagonal-ferrite magnet powder is conducted, in which baking is conducted in an atmosphere exceeding oxygen partial pressure of 0.2 atom when hexagonal-ferrite magnet powder having a hexagonal ferrite, in which A is 1 to 13 atom %, R 0.05 to 10 atom %, Fe 80 to 95 atom % and M 0.1 to 7 atom % to total metallic element quantities at the total component ratio of each metallic element of A, R, Fe and M, when a substance containing at least one kind of an element selected from among Sr, Ba, Ca and Pb is represented by A, at least one kind of element selected from among rare earth elements (comprising Y) and Bi by R, and Co and/or Zn by M. |
