PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop a new functional food in which bad effect caused by directly using a material obtained by braking unripe fruit of Areca catechu L. as a favorite food is eliminated while paying allention to its pharmacological effect. SOLUTION: This functional food contains at least one substance among an alkaloid-containing material taken out from Areca catechu L., arecoline taken out from the alkaloid-containing material or an arecoline analogue as an active ingredient. |
