<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for shaping laser pulse which can improve laser shock peening process. SOLUTION: Laser pulses are generated by a laser, and when an optical switch 104 is opened, they passes the optical switch. The first reference point of time to the laser pulses is decided, and besides the second reference point of time to the opening of the optical switch is decided, and based on these reference points of time, the point of time of opening of the optical switch is adjusted, whereby the laser pulses are shaped. To be concrete, a first photo detector 112 detects the laser pulses and generates a signal, and a second photo detector 116 detects the laser pulses after they passed the optical switch, and generates a signal, and a computer 122 computes the delay time from both detection signals, and a pulse generator 130 generates optical switch opening pulses, delaying them by the delay time.</p> |
