<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To disallow digital information whose copyright is protected and digital information which is inhibited from being copied to easily be recorded by performing control so that digital information is not outputted when a recording device which can record the digital information is connected to a bus type network. SOLUTION: When a reproducing process part 203 reads copy inhibition information out of a recording medium 201 and judges that its digital information is inhibited from being copied, a control part 206 generates a command for inquiring device information of all devices on a 1394 network so as to decide whether or not there is a recording device capable of recording digital information on the network and supplies the command to a 1394 interface part 204 to transfer it to the respective devices. Consequently, when it is judged that the recording device capable of recording digital information is present on the network, the control part 206 controls the reproducing process part 202 to stop reproducing the digital information.</p> |
