CHIP CARD CONTACT UNIT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely connect the contact point part of a chip card to the circuit substrate of a contact unit through a contact point electrically and mechanically. SOLUTION: In a unit 1, the contact point part 12 of a chip card 2 is electrically and mechanically connected to the circuit substrate 6 of a contact unit through a contact point 11 and, moreover, a switch 8 having a stopper 14 for restricting the insertion of the chip card 2 in an axial direction is arranged in order to preserve the contact position of the chip card 2 as against the contact point 11. Then, a guide 15 for guiding the chip card 2 is provided in addition to the stopper 14 and the guide 15 serves as a chip card contact unit in the form of a bearing stand for guiding the insertion of the chip card 2 to the contact position in the opposite side of the contact point part 12 of the chip card 2.
