PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently reduce impulse noise and white Gaussian random noise generated in an image by introducing at least one of a featured value correlated with a local X-ray quantity and a featured values correlated with edge information so as to set an optimum filter parameter. SOLUTION: When the image of a patient is photographed, it is converted to an electrical signal by a data collector 5 and transferred to a magnetic disk, to be filed as a raw image. The filed image of an actual patient is read from the disk 10 and transferred to a local information quantity calculation part 13 to calculate five local information quantities, which are transferred to the inference part 15 of fuzzy inference to infer a weighting coefficient concerning impulse noise and weight coefficient concerning quantizing noise. The two inferred weight coefficients are sent to a filter arithmetic part 16. A processed image is prepared by filter-processing these weight coefficients. |
