<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently release power saving mode in order to avoid the delay of printing of the first page by the influence of the power saving mode and to easily enter the power saving mode even after printing. SOLUTION: This printing system has a tool bar T of an application on a host computer 3 provided with a power saving mode release tool button T1 and a power saving mode set tool button T2; when the tool button T1 is pressed, 'power saving mode is released' is displayed in the tool bar T on a screen of the host computer 3 and power saving mode releasing data are transmitted to a printer, then the printer shifts to power saving mode release. When the tool button T2 is pressed, 'power saving mode is set' is displayed in the tool bar T on the screen of the host computer 3 and power saving mode setting data are transmitted to the printer, then the printer enters power saving mode.</p> |
