IC CARD AND IC CARD MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To confirm internal information of an IC card even when it is difficult to do so by providing a preliminary storage means which stores card specification information for specifying the IC card and a preliminary communication means which communicates the card specification information of the preliminary storage means to the outside. SOLUTION: An IC card 1 is equipped with a preliminary storage means 21 and a preliminary communication means 23 which communicates information of the preliminary storage means to the outside. The preliminary storage means 21 is composed of a 64-bit read-only memory and stored with the card specification information for specifying an IC card among pieces of information stored in the storage means 5. The preliminary storage means 21 is constituted as one IC chip 26 together with a transmitting and receiving circuit which modulates and demodulates transmission and reception data. The preliminary communication means 23 is constituted as what is called a noncontact type which makes a communication using a radio wave similarly to a communication means 7, and card specification information is read out from the outside through the preliminary communication means consisting of an antenna coil 27 and a tuning capacitor.
