PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photoreceptor maintenance replacement mechanism capable of detecting whether the maintenance replacement and cleaning operations for a photoreceptor are normally performed. SOLUTION: This photoreceptor maintenance replacement mechanism is provided with a photoreceptor belt 1, a protective film 2 protecting the photoreceptor belt 1, rollers 3, 4 and 5 performing guide and drive of the photoreceptor drum 1 in a recording device, and the protective film guide 13 leading the leading end of the protective film 2 to a discharging route at the discharging time of the protective film 2. Moreover, the device is, provided with the protective film detecting unit 14 consisting of for instance, a transmission type optical detecting unit on the protective film discharging route, parts to be detected 15a and 15b consisting of for instance, the shading coating detected by the protective film detecting unit 14 in the vicinity of the leading end and the trailing end on the protective film 2, and a cleaning part (16) for the transferring roller and the fixing roller on the leading end part or the trailing end part, or both end parts on the protective film 2. |
