PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for forming an image for forming the image of a high quality on an image support such as a sheet or the like with a low energy without bringing about a cockling or a strike- through. SOLUTION: A printer 1 sequentially forms image constitutional agents 4 each containing a polysaccharide polymer on an image support 3 such as a sheet or the like moving in a direction of an arrow. A solidifying liquid supplying unit 2 supplies solidifying liquids 5 each containing a metal salt in an order of forming the agents 4 onto the agents 4. The liquids 5 are respectively supplied to the agents 4 formed on the support at a substantially predetermined delay time. As the printer 1, a printer of an ink jet type or an electrophotographic type can be used. The unit 2 which coats the liquids 5 on the agents 4 by a roller or the like, atomizes the liquids 5 on the agents 4 or impacts the liquids 5 on the agents 4 can used. |
