METHOD OF MANUFACTURING BIMETALLIC PIPES

FIELD: pipe rolling, more particularly, manufacture of bimetallic pipes; may be used in manufacture of bimetallic pipes on pipe-rolling plants with pilger mills. SUBSTANCE: bimetallic billet containing carbon in the amount of 2.2% in metal of plating layer is heated to temperature of 800-850 C at rate of 3.3-4.5 C/min and further on, to temperature of 1180-1200 C at rate of 2.7-3.3 C/min and deformed with drawing of <9.0. EFFECT: higher resistance to abrasive wear of bimetallic pipes with internal layer from tool steel containing carbon up to 2.2%.
