FIELD: metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: induction crucible furnace includes water-cooled inductor, conductive crucible, electric and heat insulation spacer and metal tray. The latter is manufactured in the form of copper disc having diameter not less than that of bottom of crucible. Bracket providing for reliable thermal contact joins metal tray to inductor. Metal tray is fitted with N radial cuts having length of 0.8 of its radius. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of furnace, prevention of emergence of circular electric currents. 1 dwg
