FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: press has charging mechanism, frame with stationary molding chamber secured in it and molding mechanism. The latter is made as advancing slide moving in frame guides with punch which movement along slide axis is limited. Punch is actuated by impact mechanism arranged in the same slide. Press is provided with facilities which ensure preliminary static compaction of mixture by impact molding. Press allows formation of articles of preset height at considerable variations of dose and moisture content of mixture. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency. 1 dwg
