Method involves synthesis of 6,8,10-trinitro-1,4-dioxaspiro[4,5]deca-6,9-dienate sodium from 2,4,6-trinitroanisole and ethylene glycolate sodium. The end compound is subjected for reaction of ionic exchange with inorganic salt or hydroxide of the corresponding metal in an aqueous-ammonium medium.
