The pivot consists of a solid pivot pin (1) e.g. of metal and designed to pass through holes in a forked component, and a hollow sleeve (2) of spring steel which surrounds the pin and holds it in place. The sleeve has internal lugs (6) to retain the pin, flexible external lugs (10) which are compressed to allow the pin and sleeve to be fitted, and external retaining lugs (11) and flexible vanes (12) which prevent the pivot from dropping out and give it flexibility.
