Wastewater distributor for application in biological filtering units, comprising a tilting container which is divided by a central partition wall producing two symmetrical compartments in such a way that the wastewater feeds one of the compartments alternately until it is caused to tilt as a result of its own weight, thus causing displacement of the compartment which has remained empty, thus starting the stage during which it is filled and subsequently spills as a result of overcoming the weight, with the effect that the filling and spillage process repeats alternately in the two compartments in a continuous fashion, thus simply and economically achieving a homogenous distribution of the wastewater over a percolating filter. <IMAGE>
