The box consists of a base, at least four side walls (3, 4, 5, 6), and a sheet (13) of a heat-shrinkable plastic film which is folded over the articles in the box and then shrunk to keep them in position. The box has an inner panel (14) with a central fold line which is inserted into the box to hold the plastic film sheet against the inner surface of the base. The film sheet is rectangular in shape and in one piece, projecting from both sides of the inner panel by a sufficient amount to allow it to cover any articles placed in the box before undergoing heat-shrinkage. The inner panel is of corrugated cardboard and has lugs along its edges which engage with slots along the lower edges of the box. |
