Electric motor providing limited angular torque, and sealed winding

The motor uses only a single winding formed about the outside of the stator. The motor comprises a stator (1) and rotor (2) solidly attached to an output shaft (3). The electromagnetic drive comprises a single solenoidal winding (4) mounted in the stator concentric with the axis of rotation (XX) of the rotor. At least two pairs of magnets (5) of opposite polarity are fixed to each end of the stator, and extend in radial planes about the ends of the rotor. The single winding is sealed with a nonmagnetic carcass, enabling it to remain dry when the rotor is immersed in a hydraulic fluid.
