Process for the disposal of metallic chips/powder deriv. from machining by wetting those and then transporting them into a collection vessel (10) which acts as a settling tank, from where the scraper unit transfers them into a buffer tank (14). Measured batches are fed from here to a drying unit (17) where moisture is removed by compressed air; the liq. returning to the collection vessel and the dried metal being transported to container (22). Also claimed is the equipment required for this process.
