An adjustable shelf assembly (100) comprising two support legs (10, 12) and a horizontal member (20) comprising means for extension. A sliding dovetail (26) in the horizontal member (14) for slidable extension from a first shortened position to a second elongated position, and a bead profile (30) on the upper edges of the support legs (10, 12), sized and shaped to mate with a cover profile (32) on the lower edges of the support legs (10, 12) provide for stacking of one shelf assembly (100) upon another.
