<p>A wristwatch dial illumination system with a light guide (21) beneath a light transmissive dial (7) receiving light from an LED (15) mounted on a PC board (12) below the light guide (21). A pattern of white reflective dots (29) on the bottom surface (21b) of the light guide (21) selectively ejects internally reflected light toward the dial (7) and an absorption pattern (31, 32) of light absorbing material selectively absorbs ejected light, including the bright spot from the LED (15).</p> |
