A cooling unit (17) upstream of the drying unit (18) with drying agent to absorb incoming air moisture and dry and so cool the air prior to entry. A heat exchanger (17) as part of the cooling unit exchanges heat between incoming air and lower-temperature outside air. A thermocouple within the exchanger coupled to the incoming air on the heat absorption side has a heat release side arranged in the cooler outside air atmosphere. A heating line downstream of the drying unit contains a downstream working fluid evaporator as well as a condenser in the outside air cold atmosphere. Heat exchanger (19) heats the incoming air and a channeled housing (13) is flowed by the heated incoming air for transfer to the passenger compartment once de-humidified through the housing channels. Air is drawn in by the blower (12) using the heat exchanger (17) in the same housing (13) to cool the air down ahead of the drying unit (18).
