The present invention is for a window shield groove which is ground into the window shield of vehicles such as cars, trucks and lorries. It is known in the art to improve the function of the window wipers by grinding one or more grooves into the window shield in such a way the blades of the wipers pass across the grooves. A considerable improvement of the desired effects is achieved if the groove is ground at an angle which deviates somewhat from 90 degrees to the surface of the glass and the deviation is directed upwards. The window shield groove is made so that the extension of the upper side wall of the groove (6) is at an obtuse angle v2 to that outer surface of the glass window (1) which extends itself upwards from the groove where the angle v2 between the side wall of the groove and the glass surface is 91-100 degrees, preferably about 95 degrees. |
