<p>A process for producing benzamidoximes represented by general formula (II), which are useful as intermediates of pesticides and drugs, at a stable and high yield by reacting benzonitriles represented by general formula (I) with hydroxylamine in the presence of a chelating agent wherein X represents halogeno, C1-5 alkyl, C1-3 alkoxy, C1-3 alkylthio, hydroxy, mercapto, amino, nitro or C1-5 haloalkyl; and n is 0 or an integer of from 1 to 5.</p> |
