The arrangement (10) includes a pulse generator (12) which produces a rectangular shaped amplitude with an overshoot and a following negative undershoot. The amplitude of the pulse generator is programmable and the output of the pulse generator is connected with a first order filter (14). The corner frequency of the filter (14) is selectable in dependence on the amplitude of the pulse generator output signal, or the amplitude of the pulse generator output signal is selected in dependence on the corner frequency of the filter.
