A trailer having a trailer floor comprising: (a) a substantially horizontal first load carrying section (1); (b) a substantially horizontal second load carrying section (2) vertically displaced upwardly from the first load carrying section (1); (c) a substantially horizontal third load carrying section (3) interposed between the first load carrying section (1) and the second load carrying section (2) and being movable between a first position substantially coplanar with the first load carrying section (1), to a second position substantially coplanar with the second load carrying section (2); and (d) a lift (8) to move the third load carrying section (3) between the first position and the second position.
