The invention relates to an elevator installation, comprising at least one elevator with a drive device, an elevator car, an elevator mechanism to move the elevator car in a shaft, an elevator control (12) and a maintenance system (13) that can be connected to said control either directly or through an interface and that has an access to a data storage (16, 18) for maintenance of the elevator installation. The data storage comprises storage areas (18, 16) for previously determined groups (BM, TM, AM, EM, SM) of hardware components (14) and maintenance time data allocated to said groups and at least one input or remote input device (22, 26) enabling access to at least one of the storage areas (16) containing the time data.
