ADHESIVE RESIN COMPOSITION AND HEAT RECOVERABLE ARTICLE USING THE SAME

A hot-melt adhesive composition which comprises (a) 0.1 to 50 parts by weight of a polyolefin resin prepared by copolymerizing at most 20 wt.% of a combination of at least 5 wt.% of a carboxyl monomer or at least 0.5 wt.% of an acid anhydride monomer with a polar .alpha.-olefin with at least 80 wt.% of a nonpolar .alpha.-olefin, (b) 0 to 80 parts by weight of either a copolymer of ethylene and a nonpolar .alpha.-olefin or a polyolefin having a polar .alpha.-olefin content of 20 wt.% or below and (c) 10 to 90 parts by weight of polyamide and which has a melt index of 5 g/10 min or above but below 500 g/10 min. The hot-melt adhesive composition exhibits excellent adhesion for both polar and nonpolar adherends, so that heat-shrinkable articles made by using it are effective in jointing or terminating electric wire cables.
