Stirrups (12) are positioned according to a marking device (16) activated by the operator, in number and spacing according to design and requirements within a retaining element (20) which clamps the stirrups in a vertical plane. The stirrups are distanced lengthwise and individually identified. Longitudinal rods (13) are positioned with respect to and in the area defined by the stirrups and are reciprocally connected. The completed cage is then released from the retaining element.
