Motor vehicle anti-skid system using slinger chains onto tires

The anti-skid chain slinger drive comprises an electrically powered linear unit (9) whose pushrod has at its free end a reverser for a pull strand (10) joined at its ends to the chain slinger arms. The strand consists of two wire ropes joined by a chain at the reverser. The pushrod is horizontal as against the reverser which lies at an angle to the vehicle frame (1). The unit (9) itself is secured by a holder link to a frame-fixed bearer plate which stands at right angles to the pushrod and is drilled out at opposing edges for tapped sleeves used to secure a protective tube for the pull strand (10). The drilled entries are slotted out to the edge to accept the strand specified.
