Mascara composition having a mixture of hard waxes and a film-forming polymer

Use of a mascara compositions based on a mixture of hard waxes and a film-forming polymer. Use of mascara composition containing a mixture of hard waxes and a film forming polymer for curling and thickening keratinic fibres, especially the eyelashes, comprises: (i) a wax-in-water emulsion of at least one wax (I) or a mixture of waxes (I) having a needle penetration of 1-7.5 and a melting point of 70-110 degrees C, the wax (I) being at least one wax (Ia, Ib) having a melting point of 77-110 degrees C and the said wax (I) or mixtures of these making up at least 10 wt. % of the total weight of the composition and the wax (mixture) being in the form of particles with a size of at least greater than or equal to 1 mu m; and (ii) at least 0.1 wt. % on total wt. of the composition of a polymer system containing a film forming polymer, the polymer system being capable of forming a film and at a concentration of 7 % in water, of causing a contraction of the isolated stratum corneum of more than 1 % at 30 degrees C and 40 % relative humidity. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) the above mascara composition; (2) a mascara product comprising a supply vessel, the above mascara composition and an application system for the mascara; and (3) a process of make-up for keratinic fibers, especially the eyelashes, comprising applying the above composition onto the eyelashes.
