<p>The invention relates to a method for producing insulating wool. According to this method, liquid acid slag, such as refuse slag, slag from burning RESH or slag from NF metallurgy, with a CaO/SiO2 basicity of between 0.15 and 0.5, an Al2O3 content of 10 to 25 weight per cent and 2 to 15 weight percent iron oxides in relation to the total weight of the slag, is conducted over a spinner and/or jet nozzles driven by gas or steam, and then subjected to monitored cooling.</p> |
