A covering device for power stations has a cover element (1) that lies on a compartment element (2) and is detachably secured thereto by positive engagement securing elements for sealing the inner space of the compartment element (2). The cover element (1) is detachably secured to the compartment element (2) by addtional form-fitting securing elements. Also disclosed is a process for gently closing a covering device for power stations which consists of a cover element and of a compartment element to be sealed.
