The present invention relates to a filtration method of gypsum slurry from a flue gas desulfurization device feed to a rubber conveyor (6) during which formed gypsum cake is washed with a cleaning water and dehydrated with vacuum dehydration devices, whereupon it is mechanically disintegrated by partitions (10) reaching to the gypsum cake (8) upper layer. The method is characterized in that cleaning water has at least the same temperature and the gypsum slurry wherein steam is introduced through a cleaning water and steam supply device (9) into the gypsum slurry or the gypsum cake. The belt filter rubber belt (6) is provided with grooves (21), extending in the direction particular to the direction of movement of the rubber belt (6), containing holes for vacuum suction executed by a vacuum suction device.
